Should I defoliate?

Hello everyone my plant has grown VERY bushy and the fan leaves are crowding together and turning each other upside down. (See second pic) So I was wondering if I should just take off the fan leaves from the secondary shoots.

bending can help too. in vege i wouldn't remove a leaf unless it eliminates stretching from a shoot i care about (one that will be useful later). after 2 weeks of bloom, i do a heavier defoliation. it's about creaying a deeper light penetration to leaves lower on plant -- but again, not too low that it doesn't matter. leaves power development. light hits a leaf connected to a node below canopy, it powers growth lower on that stem. it can be trucked around in the phloem, but that is less efficient and the colas won't get as large. Light does not have to hit buds.. buds do not photosynthesize.

I will relate to you my own personal experience. Initially I read up on it and posed questions and read answers and so on. I was forewarned that defoliating can be somewhat a science and can become dangerous when it comes to a variety of issues related to stress. However, I consider myself a diy Gardner for a long time, and 'green thumb'. I absolutely had to try to figure it out and with a little trial and error, I recommend removing the largest of the fan leaves. Initially, a few(2-6) cuts will do. You should wait with patience to see what results from those snips. If I didn't start defoliating It would have been lost knowledge. If your growing Autoflowers you need to pay special attention because your limited to a specific time frame. I will follow along to see if I can help =)
