EC abnormally high but plants grow ok. very strange.

I read the EC of the drained water from the sustrate of my plants for the 1st time and it read 4.5 in one and 3.6 in other. I havent put any nutrients on these plants appart from a root stimulator since seedling.5 weeks grow. The substrate brand is Top Crop heavy mix.

Overwatered cubes in hydro? Too close to the sun? or effect of having addHi All, I have issues with my first hydro grow - i effed up. I think i was too slow in the transfer over in the tank. Light is 200 PPFD, EC at 0.6, and barely added any nutes.

Reusing soil ?For the first time I am thinking of reusing the soil from my last crop (universal soil used once. bionutrients added months ago)
I imagine making a mixture of 50% old soil and 50% new
I'm wondering if I should clean or do anything to my old soil before reusing it?

PH-Problems in SoilBefore repotting, the pH value in the soil has always fallen to below 5.5. The plants always have an iron deficiency. I then repotted the plants and that worked well for 14 days. Optimal pH for solution, when growing in 70% Promix BX, 30% perlite.I'm having trouble finding reliable info regarding what to pH my nute solution to, I read that some like to look at it as hydro (technically soilless), and others view it as soil (due to being preloaded). noticed the ph in the Pots is at 6.5+, something to do with the Hydroton. In order to balance it i had to drop the res PH to 4.0, but it constantly rises back up to 6. Using RO water
Suggestions appreciated, will the Hydroton eventually stop having the ability to raise my PH?Week 1

First time testing PPM and slightly panicked :cRunoff was at 2200PPM. I flushed her with 5L of pH 5.8 water. I got the runoff to 1000PPM where I left it. The pH was at 7 though and was higher than before the flush. Why is that? I always pH before watering. Also, is the flush going to cause trouble for her? I kind of panicked.5 years ago
