Hello friends, I intend to start a new grow and I have the biobizz light-mix and practically the entire range of fertilizers in my possession. What happens is that I have been suffering from water retention in the soil and I would like to know if adding Coco coir will benefit me

I use light mix and a coco mix with great success. You need to treat it carefully.. as if you mix too much coco. You'll need to treat it so. Even though it says soil. It's mainly made of coco/perlite. But, no, adding coco will only make it harder for your soil to hold water. I've never had this issue. Yes, as the plant grows up. You've too treat it like coco, it more or less needs water everyday, "of course some feeds will be ferts". If you add some all mix. It should help the plant stay wet longer.

I personally would just add some perlite. I like to add about 2” of perlite to the bottom of my fabric pot and then add about a 80% 20% mix of soil and perlite and I never have any problems with drainage or water retention.

I add LECA to the bottom of my fabric pots and add my own perlite to the mix to increase drainage. I'm using Biobizz all-mix myself (same as yours but more nutrients added already) outdoors this year and that's the exact approach I've taken and had success in the past.

Thank you all for the quick response, i will buy some coco to do the mix, and try it! 😁 In terms of ph of the soil lightmix and coco should have a great stability ? i have some dolomite lime, the lime has calcium and magnesium and i think its a great way to improve the stability.. what do you say??

Yes, but there better options if you can get them. Rice hulls (they break down into silica). Pumice.
