GREEN PERLITE STONES is this an issue?, some of the perlite on the top soil is becoming green. I'm using Biobizz, in wondering if this is a result of their product Or is this potential mould?

Hi @Krissci yes they are algae. nothing too worrying. do not let the soil compact, irrigation with less water in each irrigation and let the substrate almost dry between each irrigation .after a few hours of watering stir and mix with your fingers the first inch of the top of the substrate, this will help the air circulation in the substrate and the algae will die. good luck mate 👍

It's algea and it's happens when the soil is too moist or moist for too long with high humidity range , nothing harmfull and a little bit of drieness will get rid of them

Ohh a side note it might be a sign your watering a little too much and there is too much moisture on the top soil not draining.. But I'll let you be the judge of that.

It's algae.. Not a huge concern at all in soil grows as it most likely won't take over(needs light to grow). And when it does die off from lack off light it's just gonna be recycled by your plants... Growing Hydroponics Algae is a different story.
