Wondering about LST. I tried it this week. Its "outgrown" it. I wonder if I tie down the new growth and continue it horizontal? or move the tie down further up the plant to the end? I'm worried that on 2 trees I just "slanted" them and its not really a 90ish angle, is that ok?

Hey, buddy! 👋 Everything is good, considering your girl is still young and can't bend too much right now, but you've already started training - and that's the right thing to do! 💪 You're doing everything right - at this age, you shouldn't lay her on the substrate, I recommend bending her in such a way that the plant's leaves don't touch the substrate or touch it with just one lower leaf, which I'll remove soon! Keep directing the plant horizontally and secure its top at the edge of the pot, and stretch its branches in opposite directions and also secure them at the edge of the pot! My candy diary (week 5) will help you understand how to stretch all the branches, but in my diary, I broke the plant HST at an older age, so don't be scared of the breaks in the central stem from my diary! 👌 Good luck, buddy! ✊😇

Hey buddy, If you are not planning to top or fim your plant, you should keep the main stem as flat as possible, but not break it.You can do LST circling around the pot. Also spread the new branches from the main stem in horizontally.

Your lst work is looking good. There's no one way to do it, it's nice to have a perfect pattern planned out but their plants, they're gonna grow in unusual atypical ways. Just keep adjusting and modifying your ties as you go along..they can do a lot of growing in just a night, so it's an ongoing task. The photo from the question where the plant is growing upwards away from the initial tie, that's normal, you just want to add ties to the end that's growing up and secure it gently back towards the soil. If the plants weren't growing...then you'd know something went wrong and maybe their too tight etc.👍
