Hey friend, I think you are facing with Fungus Gnat.Fungus Gnats are happy to stay in wet and moist soil. They laid their eggs in soil and damage your roots. For young seedling with under development roots, fungus gnat are disaster. If you see some flying insects and no problem occur on leaves. They are fungus gnat for sure. Most of the grower use neem oil to get rid of fungus gnat. For me, I let the top inch of the soil completely dry before each water and cover up half-inch of top soil with sand. That's how I get rid off them.Fungus gnat can't survive in dry soil and cannot crawl in sand.If you neglect them, there will be more and more.Happy Growing.. peace

Hello Try to identify which flying insects they are so you can stop them reproducing more. If their fungus gnats grab some "mosquito bites " from hardware/ garden store and water it into your soil to kill larvae. Make a water/soap spray bottle and shoot any bugs you see. Also pop a couple of those sticky cards at the soil level and up high to catch the fliers. Keep the stagnant water to a minimal and just keep rotating treatments until they're gone. Happy growing.

Hey Growmie, There are a few things you can do you start by placing yellow sticky cards in the grow area and also get a fan blowing air over the top of the growing medium. This helps dry out the top layer of your soil and also helps prevent the fungus gnats from being able to fly around and lay more eggs which is more than likely what you're dealing with. Don’t water your plants for a few days. You want to begin drying out the soil to kill as many larvae as you can before you apply a treatment (which will involve watering). Fungus gnat larvae need a warm, wet environment near the surface of your soil to grow. Even after you’ve gone through all these steps and believe fungus gnats are gone, make sure to avoid overwatering plants, as this is the most common reason growers get fungus gnats in the first place. Hopefully, I answered your question and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".
