This stuff smells like hay. I am having the same issue as last dry, buds smell like hay, no smell coming out. What can I do? They are in closed box, 79f (can't get it lower, 44 humidity). They have been in there for 30 hours. How can I bring out the aroma?

Hello @BeefWellingtons ! You don't have to lower your humidity and your temperature is not that bad either ( optimum it would be arround 20°C-22°C and 50%-60% humidity. The aroma will come back after a few days, don't worry and be patient. Happy growing ! 👊

The smell we all know and love comes from the cure ! Usually people will either hang dry them or put their harvest on a drying rack till the buds fill crips and make a crunch sound to the touch . From there you are ready to put them in jars for curing . You have to monitor your flowers once you put them in the jars because this will force the moisture from the center of the bud outwards . Its a good idea to open the lids on the jars a couple times a day for a few minutes each time . touch the buds if they feel really moist lay them out on a surface till you get that crush sounds again it should only take an hour or 2 then you can put them back in the jars and repeat this process until the buds no longer push out moisture and the smell and taste will be on point ! I hope this helps you understand how to cure your buds as well as were the aroma and flavor comes from .

A good curing will bringing out the smell you want. The issue is most probably heat related: during flower temperatures above 77F burn or degrade the thricomes, and CFL put out quite a bit of heat, specially up close. For future reference screw in LED bulbs are a much better option for micro growing, I have 3 diaries using them, check them out.
