Hello bro ! 1st I never seen a fan leaves become a branch from my whole life ( I'll be dead before I can see that ) the most awesome I've seen was a tiny bud in the midlle of a leaf. Plus you know wich "leaves" will become a branch because fan leaves and branch are a combo ( branchs grow just above the fan leaves ). That said you can defoliate autos without harming your yield if done proprely , look at Hawkbo diaries , the guy is defoliating every times and it's a huge yielder ( in coco just like you ). Now I would advise you do a very slight defoliation before the stretch and to remove only the leaves that are blocking light to a bud site but , If done after the stretch the plant will not recover but if done before she will have time. hi , yes you can always tuck some leaves that block the light to the buds. Always have in your mind , evrything you take awy the plant trys to reproduce. But evry other dy 2-3 leaves is ok look how she responds... Happy growing
