Defoliation after LST (week 5)

After starting LST on all 5 of my plants I’ve noticed that some fan leaves are still blocking light from new growth sites. The inverse is now also true as some lower fan leaves are now not getting any light. Should I chop the top leaves, lower leaves, both? when should I do so?

You could defoliate but only when necessary. You could tuck fan leafs under others to get more light to the bottom grow sights.
If any of the leafs are touching the floor however then you could remove them

Do it before flower. Remove the top ones blocking light to bud sites, then remove bottom ones still not getting any light.
