Afterglow
Afterglowstarted grow question 4 years ago
Does anyone tried to mix up different strains, preferably pure CBD with pure THC. This weed very heavy and I'm scared to smoke it. Will CBD enhance the effect of THC or reduce?

True story! Mix them! Done it and it was wonderful! I went to a San Diego dispensary and got the highest thc they had and kicked my ass—- then bought cbd and mixed it in the bowl and the flavor, smoothness, and effects were better! Keep us posted!

Hey Aftergrow, You can mix any strains in terms of breeding "get very complicated trying to lock in genetics for a successful regrow but you could just clone it again and again" or if you want to mix n match different strains in your consumption of cannabis be it vape, smoke or edibles that works too :) I'm a big fan of CBD dominate strains that still have THC in them like a 1:1, 1:2 even 1:3 ratio of THC : CBD. Granted, I have also tried other cannabis strains that where mainly THC, 18% THC vs 1% CBD, and they did not give me the paranoia and uneasiness of some CBD dominate strains I've tried. I'd advise to shop around and try things. I have found that Cheese and LSD are one of my top two favourites in terms of the high I get from the plant. There taste and smell is meh but that's only one aspect from it all. One side note, I make alcohol tinctures and edibles from my cannabis vs smoking it, and that in-of itself is a different metabolism cycle from smoking it. m0use

CBD has been known to counter the negative effects brought on by high THC strains. It can reduce feelings of anxiety and paranoia and levels out the high.

Hello, Usually your higher cbd strains are going to counteract some of the more negative effects of thc...like any racing, anxious feelings. You can definitely cross an all cbd plant with a high thc plant and slowly grow and sort the seeds for the traits you like. Otherwise a nice option is rolling joints that are partially cbd flower and high thc flower. Either way I definitely prefer a little cbd in my grows to help mellow the high thc. Happy growing.
