Rust spots

2x2growing
2x2growingstarted grow question 3 years ago
My lower leaves are showing rust spots along the veins. Appears to be a magnesium deficiency but I am feeding cal/mag. I also growing in ocean forest soil. I’m starting to think this is nutrient lockout? I’m feeding a low dose of nutes(250 ppm every few days) soil could be hot?

Yes your feelings of overfeeding are correct.. Ocean forest is some pretty strong stuff and I would not use it straight out of the bag for Cannabis. I'd definitely be mixing in some perlite and something neutral for drainage but your standard potting mix has enough nutrients for cannabis to grow for quite some time so you have probably just overdone it.. Trust your gut.. Put away the Cal-Mag.. Coco growers use Cal-mag.. Everyone else doesn't have to :).

Very strange for this stage but it looks like classic phosphorus deficiency. By your wording, I assume that you dont have an EC meter. In that case, a low pH in the runoff will likely tell you if you have hot soil. 250 ppms seems very low, she should be able to handle 400-500ppms at this point easily. If 250ppms has been your standard, I would say almost definitely a deficiency of P.
