Hps light distance

Hi guys, could you help me understanding how far should i have my HPS 250w light (60cm x 60cm tent) from the top of the plant? How many lumens should it get the heads’ plant in the flower stage? Thanks

DONT put your hps 14” away 18” - 20” during bloom! Your burn out the terpenes at 14” on HPS! The tent may be a little small for that type of light too! Try and switch to an led light for 60x60 as even a 200w cfl with a hood Willa use heat too fast! Need a good vent taking a lot of air out of the tent when a light produces high heat! Even a fan blasting up won’t help as it would back blast heat back down what with limited circulation! Beta light for this size tent is a TS600 by mars hydro!

Not sure about the lumens, that would be a google thing. A 250w HPS should probably be about 14" away in most cases.

Lux Meter Apps on Smartphones What are your thoughts on Lux meter apps? The app on my Samsung Galaxy S10+ is showing 16,600 Lux at the tops of the seedlings, and converting that to a rough PPFD shows 222.55/umol/s/m². Reading more, 15k-45k Lux and 200-400 PPFD is good for early veg. What are your thoughts?
