When to put the light on?

Hey there,
Do you need to put the light on the pots directly after you planted the seeds in the ground? Or do you need to wait untill they poke true the ground and then put the light on them?

Plant can't absorb light till leaves open. But I leave the lights on anyway because I don't mind paying my electricity bill.

How to manage a tall plant with a thick stem in week 1 of flowering?One plant I ordered online was pre-grown. Now, it’s about 20 cm taller than my other plants. Light distance to plants in flower.What is the best light distance during flower?
I'm currently going into my second week of flower and wondering the best height for light. Its currently sitting at 40cm but I have been told to bring it up to 60-70cm during flower?

Is 500 ppfd on new seedlings ok?My light dimmer only lowers to 500 ppfd. I’m starting autoflower seedlings in a space tote before I move them into my perpetual harvest tent. I’m currently propping the light on its side so that the indirect light only hits around 300-400, as an attempt to reduce light bleaching.
