When to put the light on?

Hey there,
Do you need to put the light on the pots directly after you planted the seeds in the ground? Or do you need to wait untill they poke true the ground and then put the light on them?

Plant can't absorb light till leaves open. But I leave the lights on anyway because I don't mind paying my electricity bill.

Light set up.My only question i have is about my light set up. My plants are 7 days today and i noticed that my plants are all facing towards the light. I have my light at 60cm from the top of the plants and 75% on the dimmer. The light is also 1000 Watts. The tent size is 4x4.Setup. Lighting

Firstly, is the reason why my plants (especially cookies) are very slightly curling/folding at the ends of the leaves because the LED is too powerful?(Reason to be worried?)

So looking at my next set up to be LED, few options out there so wanted to see what ppl can suggest, needs to have built in fans to help with heat from the light, can go up to 1000W but not necessarily needed, 5ft x 5ft grow tent

Just ordered a 150W Quantum Board, can I swap my Blurple UFO mid grow to the new board? Is it possible to increase flower size this late into a grow?My Blurple apparently uses 230W actual draw but is advertised as 600W. If that 230W value is correct, does that suggest my new, much more expensive QB is not as good? Will it make a difference to the plants health? What are the benefits from the QB? Thanks!6y ago

Did I start LST too early?At day 22, did I start LST too early? I feel that I may have stunted the growth a little from overheating, but didn't want to wait too long to start training. Also, would a higher-powered light cause less distance between the nodes, and therefore make LST harder/less effective?4y ago
