It's more of a choice and experience really because Rockwool blocks are just a soilless substrate or growing medium.

uhm sure they do, some even do NFT in a 2'x4' it's not a problem , just a choice. My thing with rockwool is that it doesnt work as well as a normal root plug, but it does become necessary when you want to grow sterile. hope this helps ! 🚀

PH is 4.9- BAD batch of happy frog.Ok so yeah definitely seeing a problem here, BAD batch of happy frog. First time in soil, just got a blue lab pen, Calibrated and checked, & my PH is reading 4.9-5.0 on my soil. What do I do to get that number up for seedlings, as well as treating 5 bags of soil entirely??Week 2

Soil recommendation? Typically use Fox Farms Happy Frog but price keeps going up and quality seems much lower, lots of sticks, not mixed well etcIs there any soil recommendations anyone can make that are good but a less pricey? Dont get me wrong, I love Fox Farm’s, and 38/bag isnt terrible. I’m just curious if anyone has found a more mainstream soil that’s as good of soil. I got a dehumidifier to regulate and keep the humidity in 50%.
When i opend the deposit of the water of the dehumifier i found these little flies that are the classic Substrate fly (nasty but no harm).
Do yall think that the dehumidifier got them? Has this even happened to U5y ago

Alternatives to Gaia Green dry amendments in Europe?I'd like to try slow-release dry amendments for my next grow. Mr. Canucks on Youtube uses Gaia Green for this, but unfortunately this brand is not available in Europe. The only equivalent I can find is livingsoilsfertiliser.com.
