What size pots for autos

SF2000_3x3
SF2000_3x3started grow question 3 years ago
How big of pots do autos actually need? I have my current plants are 5 gallon, but it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to add any plants with those size pots. I’m planning on giving away my runt, so I will have 4x 5 gallon in the 3x3. Have 1 gallon 2 gallon and 3 gallon fabric pots

Get your 5 gallon pots and tuck them in and then staple them to make them slimmer, like you take in a pair of trousers .You Tube Vid.You could get a staple off ebay within days Sewing them would work if you have got to move them around too much.Just a thought.

I run my auto's in 3 gallon pots with pretty good success. I also have a 3x3 and I find you can fit three of the 3 gal fabric pots in there with a fan and a small humidifier just fine, you could fit 4 but then there is no room for equipment on the floor. You could run 5 gallon pots but the plants would get so big in that 3x3 it would be a pain in the ass to work on the plants. Happy growing.

Really dependent on the strain and what kind of yields your trying to achieve. If I'm running a strain that I know will get big I'll run the largest pot (7g/10g) with them as BIG roots = Big plants. However, if I'm running strains that grow shorter, there is no sense wasting medium that will never be utilized by the root system of those smaller cultivars so I'll use smaller pots, but large enough to fully accommodate a mature root system (3g/5g). Remember that big healthy root systems determine whats gonna happen up where we can all see. Give those roots room to grow and take good care of them and they'll reward you with a beautiful plant! Hope this helps you. 😎🙏

They say 15ltr min which is around 4 gallon. Some pots are slimmer and taller while some are shorter and fatter.I have PLANTIT that are 17ltr and that's a fair bit thinner than the 15ltr plastic Iv got.Iv got some new 5th generation seeds from Dutch Passion that can get that big that they recommend smaller pots for smaller areas.Auto Glueberry OG It says unless you have an extra large area don't use more than 15ltr else it will get out of control. They get better every other year.It was only 10yrs ago that you got 15 grams of the original Lowryder.lol.Be Lucky mate.
