Hey guys. I'm wk 3 in flower and I was just wondering how far into this stage yall will continue to FIM for tops? I have held off for the logic that they need energy for bud form but how far have yall pushed them? Do you have a specific time that you just refuse to touch the girl

Yes, once they start flowering, leave them well alone. Any stress during the first weeks of flowering can cause all sorts of issues, such as hermaphroditism. Even defoliation can cause stress and you are best to leave all healthy green leaves in place, doing their job and making the energy your plant needs to grow her flowers. Fewer healthy green leaves = less energy produced = slower/smaller growth. Hope this helps,..... Organoman.

After the first week or two of flowering where the plant stretches in the "pre-flower" stage topping/fimming wont do you any good! At that point your plant doesn't focus in foliar growth but in flower production, and any kind of stress like that would be harmful to your plant! Also refrain from defoliating after that stage because the leaves are your plants' energy source! if they grow above bud sites the just tuck them underneath! Hope this helps! Good luck and happy growing :)

Agree that you should probably hold off on any more stress at this point. Let the plant focus its energy on bud production during this critical period of early flower. Best of luck keep up the great work

After 2 weeks of flower, the only thing I'll really do is very light defoliation. You don't want to stress them when they're trying to make you nice, fat flowers. You might have some luck if you're growing a satova, but I still wouldn't.
