EC value

Hi again! Found this EC table on RQS, according to this I should have an EC of around 2.2 this stage. I feel like this is a bit high. I checked other grows on this forum and I don't see many going over 2. What are your thoughts? Thanks!

All plants are different. Autos take a lot less, 50-75%. Your runoff will tell you though. If the EC in your runoff is lower than your feed, you can increase nutrients. If the runoff EC is higher, then you should decrease nutes. This is always assuming that your pH and temps are in the correct range.

The problem I have with Set ecs/TDs values is it ignores part of the biochemistry of plants. And it also ignores overall growth and vigor. Larger plants use more food but they also use a lot more water. Ive caused more issues and problem in my own grows from TDS overage then tds/ec being under.. A lot of trio formulas are fairly balanced and contain all the needed nutrients for Cannabis growth. Just know that Transpiration is an incredible important of Cannabis health and vigor and should not be overlooked. That being said consider lower ec values and you will be happier.... A lot of the tables are based on what Nutrients companies publish and nutrient companies want you to use more of their product.. Does liquid weight (molassas) work? well in theory it kind of does but there is also a lot of Complex plant biology that happens. Plants produce their own sugars and Genetics and growing practices seem to be the biggest factors. Adding Terpene boosters and flower boosters does not equal fat sticky buds.. Do no buy into marketing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transpiration
