Is it possible for plants of the same strain/seed distributor, same environment, to finish at two different times - two weeks apart? (both timelines being the reccommended or longer) i.e. Should I go the prescribed 9 weeks of flower or can I even make my previous 11 weeks?

hey there BwP, yeah so with every strain you'll find different "phenotypes" aka different "types" of plant, shorter, longer, bushier less bushy, that sort of thing. So to answer your question, yeah it's very possible. About your second question about the flower time, you should always do what the plant says not what the breeder says. Often times the breeder will give a flowering time a couple weeks or more shorter than the actual flowering time you'll experience. The best way to check if your plant is ready to harvest is to check the trichomes with a magnifier or use the pistil method (less precise!). Hope this helps ! 🚀

If you have a plant that is ready and some that aren't you can move your lights around so that most of the light is above the less ripe plants. I've found this is the only way you can make up for any time differences. It just boosts the younger plants along and means the older plants that are ready wont go over the cliff too soon. Best practice would be to cut down the ready plant if you have another space to dry it.

Hi@BeanswithPork, Easy Answer yes it is possible!!. That is Mother Nature... isnt it great those varieties=?. I most time grow 3 plants at once, same strain etc,, and they are always different, there is always an Alpha and some followers^^And some productprescriptions are just signpots.... you can look but dont have to believe them, its always different to the description ( never had a grow like " Plan")

It will vary from plant to plant , but essentially what you are experiencing is a different phenotype . Its the exact same strain but it will take after one parent genetic more then the other . I got to experience something very simular when I did my GG#4 grow I got both different pheno's in the same grow it was really cool to see ! You may also notice after you harvest they may have a different smell and taste this will also be due to it being a different phenotype . So all in all yes flowering times may vary on phenotype's but they should still be relatively the same. Its always a good measure to add 1-2 weeks to the recommended flowering times on what the breeder say's . You must keep in mind that they have it set to a certain climate that is always always stable and never changes . This will vary from an at home grow because we arent always able to control the climate 100 % like we would like too . The best way to determine when she is ready is to look at the trichomes up close with a portable microscope or a really good magnifying glass , as the trichomes turn more and more amber then you know your getting closer and closer to harvest day ! I hope this information helps she some light into your grow in that various phenotype's may take longer then others even if its the same strain and that you should always add a little extra time to what the breeders recommend . -Happy Growing!
