Anyone tried wrapping a heat mat around the grow bag for germination?

Hi! I also plant my seeds directly in the soil, but I just keep them warm with the normal daytime temperature. Haven't had any problems with that. I don't know how much heat such a mat gives off, just pay a little attention. Since it's not really made to wrap around a pot 😛 On the other hand, if it works well for you, then I see no problem with it. Good luck with growing! 👌🌱

This is how I usually start : the mini-dome help to maintain hydrometry to a high level and the sprout like it. But you must be careful because your plant still need air to breath when first leaves start to appears. So you must have intake holes in the bottom and outtake on top of the lid. Most propagator have them, with kind of shutters on the top ones to manage evaporation.

Seems like a great idea. I don't know how effective it is, but I can't think of any negatives. I assume that mat doesn't make too much heat...
