smoke24answered grow question 4 years ago You can use soil, but you are still going to have to amend with something every 3-4 weeks, plus there are other issues that can arise with soil. I've used numerous mediums and grow methods, this method im going to share with you is easy, cheap, and effective. For the medium, I use promix, if you can't get promix see if you have some other peat based medium available to you that doesn't have nutrients in it. For nutrients I would use General Hydroponics maxigro and maxibloom. General hydro has feed charts on their website so you know how much to use during each stage of growth. Only other thing you may need is some calmag, however you won't need it until flowering really gets under way because maxigro and maxibloom both contain calcium and magnesium. I find this setup to be quite effective and low cost. If you want to see the results look at my current and my last diary, as I'm using this exact setup. Happy growing.
