My auto us in first week of flowering, and outgrowing my box. Did some defoliation yesterday, seemed to stop the rapid stretch a bit. Also there is a stem on the bottom, i think won't carry a bud, should I snip it off, give the other budsights a better chance?

Just be careful not to stress your plants but any removing of branches do now before it gets any later into flowering stage as autos are time sensitive as they don't wait for you.. Also don't remove any more than 20% of you lower to mid fan leaves there your engine just remove what blocks main flowering site's the rest will provide more energy for your plant while flowering the big leaves are your solar power less solar panels less power simple

Remove anything now that you want to go, after about 3 weeks of flowering you can’t take anything off. Remove any branches that will not reach your top canopy in my opinion. Removing lower bud sites will divert more energy to the top. Think of it like a highway of energy going from the roots to the tips, and everything in between needs energy. So if you have to stop and feed energy to every spot along the way you will have less energy at the top. The top is where all the light is, so this will give you the best use of your energy. So eliminating all sites below your canopy that don’t have ample light will divert more energy to your premium bud site. Hope this helps, cheers 💨
