Week 7 SCROG vs Defoliation question

I'm in the middle of week 6 of flower, both strains are expected to finish at 8 or 9 weeks. Plants are crowded. Buds aren't as big as I was expecting. I'm not sure if I should leave the SCROG canopy to boost the crowns, or defoliate to get more light to the lower bud sites.

I would remove all the damaged leaves. I sometimes remove some leaves in late flowering. Donโt remove too many and she will be fine. ๐

Should I do a bit of defoliation and if so, when?Should I defoliate these a bit? And when specifically? Especially the really bushy Stilton x 3BOG. LSD Auto - Defoliation in veg?I'm defoliating progressively the plant, this means that I remove a fan leave or two after LST. 4 in total until now, to increase the light exposure in the buds. Most of what I've found is controverse, a kinda 50/50 fight between the 'do' and 'don't do' it. Opinions? Thanks ๐

Defoliation?To defoliate or not? On my previous grows I have defoliate the day before flipping and again at 22 days into flower. This time around I defoliate 2 weeks before flipping. Should I defoliate again at 21 days or leave it? Is 21 days the optimal time?

Pruning dilemmaI am noticing that some leaves are turning yellow at the very bottom of some plants, I think that there is not enough light coming through. So my question is (I did only LST and FIM --> on the main branch on every plant) should I start to prune some branches to empower top part?
