Hey growmates! I try my first hydro grow and i have an issue. My plants do not grow (stunted) after transplanting into bigger rockwool cubes. They had seeable roots at the buttom when i decided to transplant them and the bigger cubes were 14 houres in a light nutrient solution.

Your problem is your lighting schedule, continuous light is not good for plants and especially not for freshly transplanted seedlings. Go to no more than 18/6, this being the optimum light/dark schedule for cannabis, both autos and photos in veg. Your plants need to "sleep" in general and this will help them to recover from the transplanting and they can not do this while being stressed by continuous light. All living things have a natural "circadian rhythm" which involves activity and then sleeping. Cannabis plants are no different and require a cycle of grow/sleep/grow/sleep, just like they have been doing for Millenia. Stating that Rockwool is sharp and somehow hurting the roots is ridiculous, plants have been growing in rough soil for millions of years without complaint! Give your plants the sleep that they need and I am sure they will recover soon, maybe even by tomorrow, after just one night of sleep. Hope this helps,.......... Organoman.

hey Peppa, basically you did everything correctly from what i see above. The problem is that when you manipulate seedlings , with exposed roots, you can shock them just from touch. Actually at this young age, the oil from the sweat of your skin can actually kill the seedlings . What i'm trying to say is that transplant is a big shock , and the rockwool itself is sharp for the new roots so very often the seedlings will even have shock just from the grow medium. Right now all you can do is spray (see above) and pray. Hope this helps ! 🚀
