Personally, I leave all leaves on and only dry trim when needed. The leaves actually provide more surface area and allow for a slower and more complete drying process, plus most of the water will evaporate out through the leaves, rather than through the flowers themselves, which can damage terpenes and cannabinoids. It is easier to wet trim, but beneficial to quality to dry with the leaves on, this way the trichomes are also more protected from damage and/or from being rubbed off. The leaves will act as a protective "wrapper" for your buds, ensuring you get more trichomes . Best to hang branches upside down, wire coat hangers work well, and keep the flowers in the dark and maintain a gentle air flow or fan in your drying area to ensure moist air is replenished with dry air. Drying should take between 5-10 days, depending on temps and bus density and size. Temps around 20-22 degrees Celsius are fine, much higher and the flowers will dry too fast and have a harsh smoke, much lower and you run the risk of drying too slow and having Mr. Mould raise his ugly head. Curing in glass jars is ideal, just check the first couple of days that the buds haven't swelled up with moisture again due to being in a sealed environment, but if ok, seal the lids, and then open your jars every 2-3 days for 10-15 minutes for fresh air exchange and continue this process for 2-3 weeks, after this it is "ready" and can be left in the jars, unopened until required. BoVeda packs are recommendable, but not essential. I also cure my flowers with the leaves left on and only dry trim the flowers immediately before use. As you can see, 3 different respondents and 3 different answers! Maybe try a bit of each way and find out what works for you in your situation. Another tip, keep a few fresh green leaves from your harvest in a plastic bag and in the fridge, this way if you accidentally over dry your buds, it is a simple process to re-soften them by placing a couple of fresh green leaves in the jar with the over dry buds for a few hours/overnight. This way the taste and aroma won't be affected either, as can happen when people use potato/carrot/orange peel to achieve the same thing. Hope this helps,.......... Organoman.

Cut off fan leaves. If drying area in humid, cut off sugar leaves too (wet trim). If humidity is low, leave sugar leaves on to slow the drying process (dry trim). Once the small stems crack instead of bend and the bud is dry to the touch (but not so dry it crumbles) you can finish trimming the sugar leaves and through them in a jar with boveda 62% packs. Size #8 is works for 1 ounce of buds and will help them cure at the proper humidity. Burp jars twice a day for 2 weeks by opening them and allowing air exchange (about 10 minutes). After that you're "cured", just let them breathe at least twice a week for the next few weeks.

Step 1: Cut down your plant. Step 2: Trim away extra fan leaves. Step 3: Begin the slow drying process. Step 4: Continue drying until the outsides of buds feel dry to the touch, and smaller stems snap instead of bend, usually 3-7 days. Step 5: Place your buds in jars. Step 6: Open jars daily 1-3 weeks (Week 1: Open 2x a day for 15-20 mins, Week 2: Open 1x a day for 15-20 mins, Week 3: Open 1x a week for 15-20 mins)
