From what I see it looks light and fluffy and not over watered. Should be perfect for a seed to take off in. Best of luck with your grow!

Mixing soils???I’m about to plant some autos and I’m short a bit of soil I was planning on using. I have some Kryptonight aprox 3gallon and a mix of fox farm happy frog/ocean Forrest.

Will an air stone in reservoir of water under a fabric pot filled with soil contribute anything?Soil based grow. 3 gallon fabric pot placed in a 5 gallon bucket, with holes drilled out the bottom. The 5 gallon has a reservoir below it. Can I throw an air stone in the reservoir w/ h20 and pump more air to increase oxygen or will the soil not benefit because it’s a hydro growSetup. Substrates

White mold?My smart pot is turning white at the bottom. There also appears to be roots trying to pop through. I put rocks between the pot and plate for air. I have one blade of grass and a tiny weed popping up, so conditions at the top of the pot are okay. Should be worried?

Expanded clay layer on bootom for better drainageIs placing a layer of expanded clay on the botton of your pot a good idea? i only tried small rocks before for the drainage but heard those claypellets might work better (and are lighter)...

To plant in large pots or not ?Do I start seedlings in finishing pots or start them in smaller pots and then transplant them into the larger pots ? They are photos I usually grow dwc but im wanting to move into coco what do you guys think ? I have already placed them in the large pots.

Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill 😞

Below is drainage from vermiculite, above is a layer of coconut, above is soil from peat, humus, sand and perlite, purchased. In the upper layer, perlite is twice as large.Setup. Substrates
