Can you please tell me if the sides need to be covered with earth?When I covered the soil in the beginning it wasn't like that, but after waterings the soil shrunk and now there is space between the pot fabric and the soil. Should I add more soil to avoid root problems? And also the water drains down there and quickly runs downhill 😞

PH is 4.9- BAD batch of happy frog.Ok so yeah definitely seeing a problem here, BAD batch of happy frog. First time in soil, just got a blue lab pen, Calibrated and checked, & my PH is reading 4.9-5.0 on my soil. How does this soil mix look?Running 65% ProMixBX, 25% Castings, and 10% perlite.
With 5 tbsp each of crab, feather and fish bone meal as well as 2.5 tbsp each of kelp meal and bat guano. (20 tbsp total for 10 gallons, 2tbsp per gal)

The possibility of using runoff, oxygenated, tested, adjusted to hydro levels and reused? Will it work or have I wasted money again?I'm using my own mix of soil composed of approx. 30% advanced organics potting soil, 30% peat, 15% coco, 15% perolite, 10% .5x.5x.5 compost.
