I have been using rainwater off roof for all my tent grows and always end up with thrips on my plants, am I introducing them by using live water? going to use sterile tap water sat over night in a large can from now on. Any advice appreciated, trying to find how they got in.

chlorine and fluoride is what you are removing when you leave water out over night it dissapates. Though if this is in the same room as your tent keep in mind the ambient temperture of the room will turn any water left in that room to that ambient temperture is why I always create feed and use it straigh away so i can maintain the best water temps all the way through being a dwc grower its very important for me though if you are having trouble with your tap water may i suggest a reverse ozmosis filter that will clean your water and allow you to key in the ph alot quicker along with bringing the ppm or ec down to next to nothing getting a much clearer reading through your meters alowing you to maintain optimal nutritional uptake via the roots:)

Hi mate, I can only assume you have brought the eggs in that have blown into your water supply.. If you want a great water supply for your plants, try deionised water. It is great at preventing PH fluctuations when adding nutrients. It also gives a boost for the plant. I hope this helps, good luck and happy growing
