6500k colour Suitable

Hi Guys, Would a CFL light with 6500k colour spectrum be able to flower my plants successfully? guys at my grow shop say it won't.......

CFL don't really have the oomph for cannabis flowering and for flowering, something with red/orange and 2700K is suggested. 6500K has more blue and is better for vegetative growth. Hope this helps, Organoman.

Long ago I grew with large CFL's (65 watt). I would use a daylight bulb for veg and then would turn on an additional "warm" light for flower so the plant could get more light and more of the red end of the spectrum. I was doing limes, lemons but it kept them happy and producing a lot of fruit/flower.
