Okay here we go. Lots of old information on these, so I researched carefully to catch all new information. Which do you prefer and why? Mars Hydro FC4800 or Spider Farmer SE5000. For a 4x4 tent. Thank you all!

I've had a Spider Farmer SF4000 for several years and I can't say anything but great things about it. That is made for a 4x4 tent, as is the SE5000 you're looking at. I'm sure the SE5000 is even better than the one I have (better light spread at the sides etc), so I'd highly recommend it! I've not used the MarsHydro, but I see people get good results on here with them. I like the folding thing on that light, but personally I wouldn't use that as my grow lights are always up and in use, so it seems a bit gimmicky to me. Also, looking at the graph with the light spectrum for both lights - it looks to me like the MH has more blue and less red... some might argue that the MH would be better for vegging and the SF would be slightly better for bloom, but I'd suggest that both lights are going to give you great results.

Okay so I have added the following to my choices. Spider Farmer SE7000 and Mars Hydro FC6500. Par maps look better for Scrog grow when reducing power to 75%-80%. This may or may not increase the life of LEDs and driver, but that's moot. It also opens the door for Co2. Only concern is the light being too big for 4x4 tent, which neither manufacturers are denouncing but instead being a little vague about. Physically they fit without issue. Its a heat thing, which I get. But when you look at the par map it makes all the sense in the world. Lower settings and no issue. It would mean that I would never use the lamp on high unless using Co2, and with that methodology you're not using exhaust which in turn means you are not drawing in your tent walls and that eliminates the heat risk, so it should be acceptable. Its all just a conversation now, and until I get better data, I won't commit. I don't like unnecessary risks, and am not one to take chances, so I am relying on an experienced community here, to help. Thank you all.
