Currently using a 400w HPS on a 18/6 schedule for my autoflower.
I've just seen this being sold on FB and wondered whether this might be as efficient/better/worse than what I already have
Appreciate that it's a 'budget' light, but still looks pretty good 🤷♂️🏼

I would orefer a 100w LED over a 400w HPS - BUT - looks like you are growing in some corner of a shed so a HPS might actually do your temps better than a 100w LED if your outside temps are dropping below 15oC purely from a temp view - HPS cost anfortune to run so if your enviornment is stable go for the LED. If temp drops are an issue might be worth keeping the hps and ballast just for the temperature

Yes Dudders!! This will be a massive upgrade for your electricity bill.
HPS is really nice and produces nice weed. It’s just that it’s really expensive to operate.
This Spider farmer will definitely be a more economical option for operational costs but may not perform as well as your 600 watt HPS.
So it’s a trade off right.

Although look a bit deeper into that 1000w rating - it is probably like 150w at the wall or something but samsung diodes are good man

Light intensityMy plants have been looking sad for a couple weeks. Tried everything then the other night I turned my light down to 40% giving a DLI of 28 they perked right up with 24 hours. I have now put it up to 60% giving a DLI off 39 will this be ok or should I keep it low. Week 2 flower.

Added a light, how far should I hang them both from the girls?I have added a Mars Hydro TS600 to my tent along with the Spider Farmer SF1000 in my 2x2, how far should I move them up away from the plants? I'm guessing I don't want them as low as the SF1000 was on its own which was around 15"
