Topping Autoflower Plants: That’s my question in a nutshell. I have spent many hours on YouTube researching; 90% say never too, but then there are those who swear by it even with autos. Thoughts?

We all get most of the same info on the NET. My thought is you have to try it in your environment to see if it works for you. You could be surprised on the outcome.

If you are certain all your other shit is one point.. and I mean ON POINT. I don’t think it’s a big deal. But I don’t recommend it if you’re still figuring other shit out (nutes, medium, environment, EVERYTHING else)

Man if you wanna top it so badly just dive off the deep end and do it. You’ll see what happens. It’s either going to work or it won’t. Then you can take that experience for next time.

I say myth… with a caveat. The # weeks for full flower for the strain can’t be too short. When you do this type of HST the plant takes time to recover, this can be precious time lost for growth. If you know your strain, and general timeline for harvest, I’d say go ahead and top, but just once, and try to before week 3.
