No, I wouldn't, your plants needs every healthy green leaf they have to make the energy they need to grow their biggest and best flowers. I agree with m0use though, get in there and lollipop them! Just concentrate on what is near the top of the net and sacrifice the lower stuff. I would suggest growing less plants next time and lowering the net to really spread every branch out, this way you will get more bang for your buck. It is the leaves that make the flowers grow, not direct access of the flowers to the light, so you need to maximise the leaf coverage and their access to light and the flowers will appear as if by magic! I'm a noob but my understanding is you defoliate to open it up so the air can move around. The leaves are the solar panels. I'll pull off a leaf if there are plenty of leaves below it to catch the light.
