Mainline/manifold

Hey this is my 3rd grow, but first time trying mainline/manifold. I switched this to flower 9 days ago, and am wondering if I should have let it veg longer first... the tops dont seem to be stretching much and I am worried I will end up with short colas.

You have gone a little overboard on defoliation. I normally stop the LST on a plant in veg when the nodes start to offset. Then when she turns up stop defoliation until you are almost ready to flip. Then 2 days before flip clean up some fan leaves for light penetration and remove any branches that don't reach the canopy and any skinny ones that are being crowded. You should also only manifold a strain that is going to be very tall over 200cm the taller the better. As others have said be prepared for a 3x stretch so plan your veg height in accordance. My last harvest manifolded was 2 plants 390gm dried and cured, so big yields are possible.

This plant can act that way, other phenotype of same strain - totally different ... If you give good humidity and food, they should grow up in huge concentrated colas. All the Best !

You might or you might not every plant is diffrent just take your observations from this one and apply to the next plant of same strain you grow. Some plants can triple in hight or more during flower

Yep, You jumped the gun and got too keen like a high schooler on prom night!! Mainlining is great for producing MASSIVE buds thats perfect for social media but generally speaking its not the best for the biggest yields if you take in to consideration the extra time needed in veg. Its fun thou isnt it?? And yeah next time try to fill in the middle of the plant before switching to flower other wise your paying money for light your shining on the stem and not buds...its a waste bro.

Yeah, you probably will. Depends on genetics. Maintaining a diary is kinda the whole point of the site and that helps us answer better, among other things. I let them begin to grow vertically personally before flipping. And never clear out that much lower growth cuz I want something to fill in that empty middle area you have. You live and learn tho man. Props on trying it out.. helps you as you continue forward. I don’t mainline in that sense but something like it with less veg time spent and better yield results.. on some grows I just top and flip too tho.
