Hello. Yes the fire hazard is real but if you do it right it could work. Not a candle though. The yellow flame produces carbon monoxide where the blue flame produces carbon dioxide. I use a kerosene lamp turned way down to make a mostly blue flame. I have seen a single burner propane hiking/camping burner, you know you can put a single pot on it, works great but is a bit more expensive. The fire hazard is real. I put mine in a large pot so it can take a bump and not tip over or spill. And it needs to be turn off at lights out. Be Careful. Chuck.

They are more of a fire hazard if anything. and when the wax burns they are producing more then c02 from the combustion. Not worth the risk. You only need c02 with all other environmentals are in check. Its more for pro growers, same with lighting setups with over 900 PPFD The better method for co2 is the fungus grow bags, ExHale CO2 Bags. Good Luck!
