Do you think this is the right time setup for this strain. Or should I do 20/4 all the way through.

Hi @BigStretch! Plants are like us, they need to rest. Dark phases help plants to recover from stress, but this is also the time for vertical growth. Growing regular strains I like to give them 18 hours of light, sometimes less is more, plus you will make some savings on the energy. It's a personal opinion, each grower has its preference. Hope this makes sense, let me know in the comments section if you need any further information, and happy growing! šŸ‘Š

I would set it to 18/6 and don't mess with all the way to harvest. Keep it simple and you will get the results u r looking for. Hope this helps.

You decide. When using the 20/4 schedule the plants are eating more cal mag than with the classic 18/6 schedule but less than with the 24/0 schedule. So to keep it simple go with the 18/6 but if you know how to tweak your feeding then go with your favourite schedule but remember that anything that lives need to rest and that's what the dark period is for.

In your case using fluorescent lights I would stick to 18 hrs. Give those leaves a chance to cool down when the lights go off. Keep an eye on the upper leaves they are "canoe" shaped kind of slightly folding up this is a sign of the light being to close and could lead to leaf burn which is seen in a couple of the older lower leaves. Depending on the spectrum of your bulbs if they have some infra red it can cause heat damage. I would raise the lights slightly until the leaves flatten back out. Also using a Cal/Mag product will help your plants handle a bit more heat stress. Read the following link https://www.alchimiaweb.com/blogen/deficiency-excess-calcium-in-cannabis-plants/

I preferred 20/4 during veg and 18/6 during flowering so she has some night time to do all the processes that naturally runs at nighttime.

18/6 gives your plants some much needed rest time to catch up on their beauty sleep... Photosynthesis within the plant will only actively happen for 16-18 hours per day and then they simply need a break. Time to rest and then back to work the next day. Do a little research, itā€™s pretty interesting stuff. Remember that indoor grows are wonderful but the whole point is to mimic their natural environment which includes night time. My grows have always responded well to an 18/6 schedule and produced large, healthy, bountiful plants/harvests. All the best!

I started my ggg autos on 24 hours but they seemed to grow real slow. I changed the lights to 18/6 after a couple of weeks and now they're exploding.... Not really an answer for you but a good relative scenario

Like most of the others have said 20/4 or 18/6 is great for veg. Iā€™m running mine 24 hours on. My zombie is just loving it, I donā€™t have a lot of height to work with though so Iā€™m thinking I may flip to 12/12 sooner than anticipated because of the 24 cycle. I think it may come down to personal preference and if you want to burn the extra electricity.

you can do it as you like to do it. but in my opinion everyone ( a plant too) has to rest. So minimum would be 18 hours on automatics and maximum 24/7. I do it most times like ... until day 14 ....24/7 .then i switch to 20 hours.Up to now they liked it. ive grown 24/7 too, but my girls looked stressed.I would give that little ones asap in their final pots, my experience is, they like it to stay small if they are in small containers, I plant them directly afte germination into their final pot, filled with a fluffy prmix or my own soilmix. look for the right Temp /rh and they grow very vigor. You can give them a nice RH without a humidifier in putting open domes above the Plants until they are bigger. http://www.just4growers.com/media/23631/vpd_2degree.gif

i would put them on 18/6 (my opinion) it give them time to veg better and create bigger stem size i would also start a little more spout just in case (if you have more space to fill)

If you want them to grow as fast and as big as possible then you want to run the lights 24/7 through veg. For some reason a lot of people are under the impression that cannabis needs rest but it has been proven numerous times that they grow faster under 24 hour light. The only debate is whether the extra growth is worth the extra cost to run the lights longer. So if you are concerned with electric bills then 18/6 or 20/4 will grow a great plant. If you want the max output possible from them then run them 24/7.

It all depends on what your looking for in end product and how much sun you have for flowering , 24/7 is harder on the plants while some darkness is more natural like 20/4 or even 18/6 . The longer you veg the more area she will cover and the bigger the reward . Some haze strains can stretch over 100-200% of there vegetative size when they flip into flower .if you have the size and room veg at 24/7 and then flip when ready for some monsters . I've got my autos on 24/7 right now and they love it but I will be bringing in the darkness and drop her to 20/4 just seems more natural..

If you want them to have a greater veg cycle I would go 20/4 but to be quite honest 18/6 is plenty . This will essentially come down to a personal choice in the way you wanna handle your veg cycle . Provided you dont go any less then 12/12 then your plant will stay in veg and grow . I grow under 18/6 in order to give the plant a good rest and photosynth period but that's just my preference . I hope this information helps you on your quest ! Happy Growing !
