Not sure how he ended up in the cupboard. Do you think he will keep the fungus gnats down, or should I set him free?

😂 ... that's just too cute! Me, I'd let him go since he won't do anything for fungus gnats and can probably find more food for himself elsewhere. If you've got fungus gnats, though, I DO have a solution! It's called Mosquito Bits and it's brilliant... just follow the instructions - soak the appropriate amount of them in water for 30 minutes, strain the granules and use the water for your regular watering/feeding... I had that problem and this was INSTANT relief.... If the problem is really, really bad, you should use this for 3 weeks but I guarantee you, you won't have fungus gnats - although they might come back later on...

He's a gift sent from canna gods to protect your grow. Give that frog a suit of armour and a sword and let the battle begin. Lol.

Thats good luck, I get frogs in the soil of my outdoor garden bed when ever I have set it up with the right amount of organic matter and they like the conditions so much they move on in. So id say your soil is pretty good there. But he wont help your grow and might even die somewhere and cause a smell. Set him free and reap the good karma. If its cold thou and hes seeking warmth then setting him free in the cold may kill him too so find a warmer spot if you can.

lol he might. that's a good sign if they like your environment. Don't pour nutrient feed on it though. amphibians absorb a lot though their skin and it would kill them. Maybe give him his own little patch of moist dirt in a dish. Good Luck!
