started grow question 5y ago
Anyone had any experience using these CO2 bags? Wondering how many would be necessary to adequately fill a 5' x 3' x 2' grow space.

One will work. Minimum air exchange with outside of tent if not in a sealed room to get any benefits

Unless you are growing in a closed/sealed system, CO2 bags are largely a waste of money, as your fans will remove any CO2 before it has any chance of being of any benefit to your plants.

Exhausting air outside when using Air Conditioning, yes or no?
Hi there. This is my first indoor grow in soil. I have a room with A/C. The grow tent is in that room. My question is, should I be exhausting the air from the tent outside or into the room. If i exahust the air outside, isn't it counter productive to the A/C?

Hello growers, I am looking for a somewhat silent fan for my 2x2. AC Cloudline is not readily available in my area. I'd love some feedback on those : RAM Silent 125mm, S&P TD Silent 160/100 N, GENT ECco 100mm, TT Silent M 100, DALAP AP Quiet 100mm. Thanks a lot 👍

Carbon Filter
Hello growers! I'm thinking of removing carbon filter's outter fabric. It affects my exhaust dramatically. Does anyone knows if this is going to make it insufficient or ruin it? (i think that this layer prevents humidity entering carbon particles)

High RH in flower
I find it really hard to keep the RH below 50%, especially at night when temps are low. I have a dehumidifier in the room where my tent is in but even when it's below 50% there, it still is above 50% in the tent itself. Can somebody explain this? Probably help me with a solution

Would it be possible to have a closed loop ventilation system?
My tent is in a garage that gets very cold, i need the fan running so i have constant negative pressure so there is no smell. Could i just have the fan extract back into the tent with a CO2 bag in there? Heat shouldn't get too high, and only other thing i could think of was CO2

Currently using a 4x8 tent in a garage that is dusty. would getting a extra intake be better for my plants?
Currently using a 200mm inline exhaust with a max cfm of 537,96 and using a intake with a max cfm of 194. currently using the exhaust on medium setting so 466 cfm. would it be better for my plants to get more air from outside with a new but small intake of about 128 cfm ?

Please look at the leaves shown, orange and dried parts. I asked a similar question earlier but these look more damaged and I'm wondering if it's worsened due to my setup. Wind damage from fans? Water damage from humidifier? Light or heat damage? Managing VPD is tough. Thanks!

Humidity issues near flowering
So I installed an intraction (145 m3/h speed1) and aluminium foil on the pots but humidity is still hight like 75% when nightime and the lowest is 65%. Probably the water evaporates by the pots (drip, clay pebbles). I have no more ideas. Do I have to buy a deshumidifier? Thx !

High heat in greenhouse, how hot is to hot?
I built a 16x20 greenhouse with dual vents and a 24” exhaust fan. I hit a max of 122 (it’s 92 outside). I typically reach 105-110 on regular days. Everyone looks happy other than an nutrient burn issue. Can weed plants handle this kinda heat?
