Smell through filter exhaust

The smell inside is quite strong and is coming through the filtered exhaust. Is this normal, or does it mean I need to replace my filter soon?

if it didn't smell before, it's probably not due to an incorrect activated charcoal filter. have you checked the seals? i've read before that too much humidity affects the filter. but it could also simply be because the smell is too intense, so that the filter doesn't work properly. the very last possibility would of course be that the ability decreases due to age

likely need a replacement. If RH is up in the 80% then the filter is pretty much useless. Better to vent direct outside and then no filter needed.

Kann gut sein das der Filter durch ist und du ein neuen brauchst. Ich wechsel den Filter nach jedem dritten Grow, spätestens nach einem Jahr wird er gewechselt. Falls du auch in dem Raum rauchst wo das Zelt steht ist der Filter schneller dicht und du müsstest ihn öfters austauschen

Maintaining VPDI've got my photoperiod doing well in a 2x2 tent. I'm trying to regulate my VPD with what I have on hand. Currently I'm running my exhaust fan for 8 minutes every hour to get an average VPD around 1, but I'm concerned about the swings. Am I micromanaging?

How crucial is an exhaust fan and a carbon filter?I cant find anything in my country as a kit, but would buying them piece by piece work?
Example something like in the photo connected to an air duct and then to a carbon filter?

Smelly room, with filter should I be able to smell flowering buds?I have a 3x3 grow tent with a 4” fan and filter. The filter is in the tent and exhausts into the room. I taped the filter to the line and line to the fan so no pinhole leaks. The fan is rated for 198 cfm. I have it on low because when it’s high the smell is worse.

Temps to high....i thinkHi, newbie here, I'm really struggling to keep temps below 30°C. Outside temps are not helping all, i have my extractor on full, air circulation fan on full, both flaps open, shed door even open lol and my light is turned down to 250 watts, which probably isn't high enough!
