Way too little watering - what should I do?

I water my plants with about 1.5L every 3-4 days. My pot size is 18L, filled with 15L. So they should be watered with 5L each according to CANNA - but my plants are not that thirsty! What would you guys recommend me to do? PH is fine but I don't know about the EC. Thank you!

If these are the plants from your diary that you are asking about, I agree, 3-5 litres every few days would be about right. Deep watering to run off every few days is much better than lots of little waterings every 2-3 days. You need run off to prevent the building up of nutrient salts to toxic levels in your soil, that will then harm/burn your plants. The best moisture meter is your finger, stick it in the soil and once the top 2-3 cm are dry, this is when to water deeply again. This may be anywhere between 2 and 7 days, depending on temps, your plants requirements and the water holding capacity of your soil mix. Hope this helps, Organman.

You should stop looking at charts to dictate your grow. They are rough blueprints at best. As you see. If you are not getting run off each watering to rinse out any prior nutrients you will have major soil issue coming. They will build up and cause havoc to your ph and plant. Should get 15 to 20 percent run off each time. Test that water for ph and ppm. That is what your soil is at.
