Soils blended with coco

Tried to do a soil, coco, and perlite mixture on this cone. Turned out a disaster. Had to dig it up in the 2nd week and add a bunch of coco. What soil do you use when blending with coco?

I guess my question is why you want to add soil? I've never done it so I can't comment on WHICH soil to use but since you're growing autos, I'll tell you they really don't like to be disturbed in anyway - so I would think digging it up and putting it in some other grow medium is not going to end well... you'd be stressing/shocking them too much and that impacts their pre-programmed life cycle. From what I know, coco is just fine to do the whole grow in - you only need to water/feed with greater frequency than you would if you were growing in soil. They have a short life span... my recommendation is to just go with what you've got and look at various options for your next grow! Personally, I only use ProMix for all my grows... it's got the right blend of perlite, etc, is rich in mycorrhizae which helps the roots and, grown in fabric pots, allows lots of oxygen into the roots which they need (coco, I assume, would allow even more oxygen which is why you need to water/feed with more frequency). Good luck and enjoy the grow!

Like @orgaoman says, a standard medium should be fine. I just know you can have trouble with pure coco. I blend 2 part promix HP, 1part coco, 1 part perlite, 1 part worm casting Amend with 444 Gaia Green for veg. And it’s fantastic. All that said, your problem is probably due to something else. There isn’t enough background to get an idea of what problem you have going on. From what I see, You are in week 2 flower, have one giant plant and one runt. Is it a clone? transplant?, also in flower? Same age as big one? Fed the same?

Any soil for growing vegetables or herbs should be just fine for growing cannabis. For autos I found a mix of about 75% potting soil, 20% coco coir and 5% perlite works really well. Hope this helps, Organoman.
