Yes you can. The affie's usually grow a main center big bud but you can spread it out too for lots of medium sized buds. Being an indica they usually grow short and bushy rather than sativa like which is tall and spread out. Photoperiod plant are more forgiving and heal and then go on to grow more. Auto's can't handle much pruning because they are on a race to the end/finish. Do your trimming and pruning through the summer but leave it alone around Aug 1 to Aug 15 and just let go into flowering. once you see it's in flowering, if you need to you can take a little more off or from the middle for good air flow. Pruning the lower leaves and smaller branches will encourage more growth up top, but don't take any more than 1/3 off at any time you might send your plant into shock. Trick is to train and then let the plant heal for a couple and repeat when necessary Have fun. Chuck.

Hello. I think you have a good idea of what you need to grow this plant. Yes. I know it's not an auto. There is so many people growing auto's on this site they got confused. You even said fem in your question. Some people like to smoke pot and try to answer questions.😃 A photoperiod plant can handle more nutrients better than a auto, you can still burn the roots if your soil has too much nutrients. You will see the brown ends of the leaves if the roots are too hot from too much food. People don't want to see you hurt your plant so they cautioned you not too make it too strong/hot, Please. you can always add more later and water it in. Cannabis is like tomato's in that they grow roots out of the stock that has been covered by soil. Good Luck. Chuck.

It’s not straight manure it’s the dirt that the nutrients have broke down through the year very little manure . More so the toll yet of soil that is turned black and drains well . This is not a auto . Very interested because I’ve never grown a plant that’s suppose to grow this bushy ! Happy frog dirt is made by fox farms. Suppose to be a very good base .

Hello. That is a great choice for outside. Your Afghani is very pest and mold resistant and should do well in TN. Hope you stay hurricane free this year. It all depends on how big you want your plant. This strain being an indica will not grow that tall maybe 4 to 5 feet and be about 8 feet around. You will need to support the branches about 1/2 way through flowering. So a 3 to 4 foot hole that is about 2 to 3 foot deep will be great and if it's near a large tree put some landscapers cloth in first to try to stop the tree's roots from getting in to your good soil. You'll need at least 6 hours of straight sun light in the place you chose to plant. As the others have said don't make your soil too hot for the little plants. You can always make a cow poop tea in the middle of summer for the 3 foot tall plant, but don't give too much too soon. You might consider to put up a cover in late flowering to keep the rain off the buds to stop any bud rot because the Afghani will have dense buds. and I hope you make a diary to show us. 😃 Happy Growing. Chuck.

10-20% cow manure is plenty in any soil mix. Plant the seed twice as deep as the seed is tall.

50 50 mix with cow crap is to much, especially for autos. You need to cut back the cow manure to maybe 20%. I would start the plant in peat moss and feed it accordingly for a week or 2. Use a paper planter so you can just drop the whole thing into your prepared dirt when it is more capable of handling the dirt with the heavy nutrition

Is this also an autoflower? if so, if you have good soil, it doesnt need that much nutrients in the first weeks. Be carefull with giving nutrients, to make sure you don't mess it up without measure tools, you should give them only water from time to time. If you can buy pots, always buy pots for autoflowers because most autoflowers will get like 50-80cm, there are kinds that get 1.10-1.30cm. Most of the growers only put it in the ground if they want big plants that can get big.
