Trifoliate on only one side of mainline

This plant has developed whorled phyllotaxy on only one side of the initial manifold divide. The other side is regular, opposite. I'm curious as to what may be the reason as to why this happened only on the "dominant" (faster growing) side of the split? 2nd one this season...

I think what you might be seeing is simply a genetic mutation... not common but certainly not unheard of! Good luck!

Just a wierd genetic "quirk". The fact you mainlined it and one branch developed this trait is pure co-incidence. I have grown quite a few plants that did the same thing on only one or two branches out of the entire plant. It is just a curious occurrence, nothing that affects potency though.

When plant matures enough - he looses symmetry even from seed. Clones are always asymmetric.
