How would I go about reducing humidity is a 3'x3'x72" tent when the humidity is 60% outdoors and 60% in the house? Currently I have 2 dehumidifiers running, AC infinity Cloudline T6 and a heater. Over the past week I have been able to average 48 7%.

Thank you! I'm at the end of week 11, I like the idea of rock salt and charcoal. I had to adjust my probe readings at the beginning, now I have a small thermohygrometer literally tied to the probe, just for a quick comparison between that and the panel read out. Right now the RH is 56% in the basement and 46 in the tent. I hadn't thought about the plants just absorbing moisture from the air. Maybe that's why my other plant is just sipping water. It rained Friday night, last night and stormed this evening. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow. The Bruce banner is about to get chopped. It's just about done. Thank you for the help!

Having used ac infinity fans for a couple years now id say get another hygrometer in your room as ac infinity are renowned for giving false reading, amazing fans but their probe sensors go out of calibration frequently, i adjust mine once a week minimum, keep it in mind.....good luck

Hi Lovedr79 Some friends of mine use buckets filled with charcoal and cat litter to reduce humidity. I like to have plenty of natural dehumidifiers - plants. Here's a list of links with info on plants that control humidity in your house. You almost never need to water them if you have 60% indoors as they'll keep sucking it from the air. All those along a good air flow in and out and it should work. https://jayscotts.com/blog/plants-that-dehumidify/ https://www.homestratosphere.com/plants-lower-humidity/ https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/houseplants/hpgen/plants-that-absorb-humidity.htm

If you want an inexpensive way of reducing humidity, pick up some rock salt and two 5 gallon buckets. Take one of the buckets and drill some holes in the sides and the bottom - then place it inside the other bucket. Now put in your rock salt. The rock salt is fabulous at taking moisture out of the air, the water will go down into the outer bucket which you will have to monitor and empty from time to time. Good luck!

HID lighting does a great job at lowering humidity. To the point you need a good humidifier to bring it to proper levels

Nothing wrong with 48% humidity. But honestly only way is to add another dehumidifier. My tents are currently at around 60% in early flower, but until the buds start bulking I’m not concerned about it, once they start getting weight I’ll try to get them down to 40-50%
