Never had a satisfying LST when growing Autos outdoor, my idea is that suboptimal conditions of outdoor enviroment lead to slowed veg (compared to indoor) and low stretch. Maybe letting them grow without training in the end leads to bigger yield. What's your idea/experience?

Autos just don't perform that well outdoors in my experience, no matter what you do, they are really designed for indoor growing at 18/6. It is the weeks of 18 hours of light each day that gets the size into them. I agree too, best to just let them do their thing outdoors, with no topping or defoliation at all, but LST is fine. Autos and outdoors = disappointment in my experience, just not enough daylight hours at normal latitudes. Stick with much superior photoperiod plants outdoors would be my advice. Cheers, Organoman.

They need minimal training. Just stretch out the branches some under the main. Clean up some lower leaves around week 5. Cheers!

i don't like LST, topping, fimming, mainlining, if your not limited in height letting the plant do their things is the way to go imho.

ScrOG tucking: expose lower smaller bud sites by tucking/compacting main cola branches?For a better yield, should I aggressively (but gently) bend main leading branches and tuck all shading fans to expose young 'undergrowth' branches (circled) and bud sites to light, or, inversely, untuck fans and straighten leading branches to give more light energy to them?

Will this tape repair a broken stem?Should I re-wrap this broken stem? Bent with too much pressure and there was a snap, though not completely severed. I applied two or three layers of duct tape, not sure if the constant pull of ties will allow it to heal and repair. When should I take the tape off?

Lower leaves too pale or yellowing?I am noticing the lower leaves of my Royal Critical Automatic to be much more pale green than the top of the plant. What should I do with my plants that have grown thicc to receive more light? - First Grow My plants (1 auto, 1 photo) have grown a lot and are now pretty thicc. Should I remove some leaves to allow more light directly on the new growths from the nodes? More agressive LST? Leave them alone? They have grown in a weird pattern because of my LST attempts (see pic).
