Normally I'd say that's fine. It happens with growth. I have brown bits of part of my growing stem. To me, it looks normal.

I agree with @gottagrowsometime... so select his answer - but I would add it looks like it was damaged a while back and repaired itself.

It's normal, it happens when the plant became older and stronger, like trees, it start to produce lignin, the component of wood! It's perfect :)

Sorry grower it's stem rot (botrytis). It's a big issue. Now look at vegetation of that branch possibly you could notice underfed‐like signs or stunted grow. All the plant is potentially compromised and others spots will appear. Nothing to do
