Why should the tap root grow for some days before potting?Not a problem, but I'm eager to learn: Most tutorials recommend to let the tap root grow to about 2.5 cm before potting. Does anybody have a rationale for that? To me this sounds counter-productive (light protection for roots, correct orientation of seed). What am I missing?Week 1

ID this pest - bulb mite?Trouble in paradise. Issues with new growth on a few plants in my 2nd tent. Rather suddenly. Past experience lead me to suspect a pest eating my roots (no, not a deficiency). Roots showing from top of soil ?So I'm not sure what's goin on here, the other plants aren't doing it but this big one in the middle is, the roots are coming out from the top of the soil and being exposed.
it happened earlier in the grow and I just added a layer of soil after watering.
