Defoliating requires a plant working at its peak capacity to have a desired effect.. also the plant should be “bushy” for defoliating and yours are just naturally growing.. I’d leave em be this run and if you want to do multiple training techniques next run go for it then!

Why defoliate at all.........?? Less leaves = less energy being made = less growth! Defoliation is not an essential or necessary part of cannabis cultivation.......unless there are problems. Besides, if your plant would not NEED those leaves, it would not have grown them in the first place!

I'm not sure I know why you want to defoliate these?! They are not that bushy, the leaves do not appear to be shading bud sites... and leaves create photosynthesis that makes the plants grow and produce. But if you want to, go ahead - but follow Roberts' advice here ... he's got incredible experience and knowledge (just look at his diaries!!!!). Good luck

Wait about a week till stretching is more in progress. Then lollipop the whole plant by removing lower underside stuff that won't get much light. This will make the plant focus all its growth to remaining points on top side. Making buds denser as well.

High Marihuano, There are 2 reasons why someone would use defoliation on cannabis plants. 1. To create airflow between the leaves and buds. 2. To cut away small buds at the bottom that use energy that could be used for the larger colas. And leaves at the bottom that don't catch enough light. Your plants don't need defolation to create airflow because there is more then enough space between the leaves and buds. But you can defoliate the lowest 30% of your plant (leaves and buds). So that they only focus on the highest buds that catch the most light and for that become the fattest. You want your plants to product those fat, thick and juicy buds. And this way you get rid of all the small popcorn buds at the bottom that use energy that should have gone to those fatties. Happy Growing! 😋
