Switching light from veg to flower

Valleywestbuds
Valleywestbudsstarted grow question 2 years ago
Running first run of photo periods. All is going well. Lights are on a 24hr veg. I need to switch lights by this weekend. Is it recommended to just switch to 12/12 or go 18/6 for a few days then go 12/12?

A few days on 18/6 isn't going to buy either you OR your plants very much - but, as Ezzjaybruh said, expect a LOT of stretch from them when you flip no matter whether you go 18/6 for a few days or immediately go to 12/12... I hope you have room to move your light up as they do their stretch! If not, you might want to think about SCROGging her (although it's pretty late to do that, it might have some benefit) or prepare to do a lot of LST to keep them from kissing the lights! Good luck!

Honestly, all living things need rest. You should start with 18/6 as your standard veg lighting cycle until you flip your plants into flower. Anyway. You can jump straight into flower if you want. You can delay flowering indefinitely as well, when running 18-24hour light cycles. It's all up to you when you make your plants bloom while growing indoors. I hope this helps.

Umm I’d have switched off 24/0 some time ago. A few days of 18/6 isn’t gonna do ya much good tho. If you’re ready to flower just flip to 12/12. I’d be expecting significant stretch going from 24/0 to 12/12. Be interesting to see.
