Grow light upgrade importance

Importance of light spectrum? I'm upgrading my 5 small 15W lights with a 240w Grow Bar with Samsung LM281B diodes. My girls are growing and look fairly healthy but the speed is super slow. I'm installing the upgrade today, can I expect better results and speedier growth? 21w veg

Hey bud. The light is part of that battle.
Given the other things are in line. As in Ph , Water/feed routine. Environmental stuff (vpd,EC,DLI) it's a combo move ur pulling to recreate the outdoors.
But the improved light will help things along. Just need to dial in the rest.

Hi!
From 75W of blue+red, to 240W of 3500K+6400K+660nm (what usually are on bar style fixtures), it's gonna be a huge change.
"Blurple" are bad, because they only cover two very narrow wavelengths, when the plants needs visible and invisible full spectrum (I'm surprised to see that blurple scam is still running).
But, in your case, the light power output is gonna be the more significant change (don't forget your shades 😎).

Light intensityMy plants have been looking sad for a couple weeks. Tried everything then the other night I turned my light down to 40% giving a DLI of 28 they perked right up with 24 hours. I have now put it up to 60% giving a DLI off 39 will this be ok or should I keep it low. Week 2 flower.
