What is too close or too far away? When dimming your lights you go full power or 50%?

Ur light manufacturer should have a diagram of PAR recommendations for ur specific light. The PAR diagram will likely be a pic of a plant under the light, with the sweet spot in the middle and recommended measurements above and below that. PAR meters are fricken expensive! We buy em with the THC home testing kits, right?! Turn ur big girl pot upside down to put ur drip tray and seed cell on top of it, so the light level doesn’t change when u transplant. A lot of people use S-hooks to hang their light, so they can just remove an even number at a time instead of messing with cords over top their plants. They can get a bit pricy, but ya pay for convenience.

High, Light works with a formula that we call inverse square law. Basically it means that when you hang your lamp 2 times closer it becomes 4 times stronger. With your lamp I would start on 50 cm on 50% There is also a trick to see if the lamp is not too hot for your plants. You just hold your hand under the lamp the same distance as you are planning to put your plants for 1 minute. If it feels unpleasant like to hot or really warm then it is also to hot or to warm for your plants. If after 1 minute you did not feel unpleasant your plants will be fine! Happy Growing! 😋
