Defoliation or not?

Hi everyone! My girls are on the 6 day of full bloom, I noticed that there are many bud sites covered by fan leaves. I would like to defoliate but looking on the web I saw that those who do it on autos almost always get smaller yields due to the stress caused. What do you say?

I would try and use LST before defoliating an auto, The lower yield is not worth it. Other option could be to try and bend some of the leaves out of the way without fully removing them. Granted an ultra conservative defoliation could work just for a few sites on the plant if you feel its warranted. Buds fatten up/become larger the more light they get. But leaves also are crucial for photosynthesis... so it's a fine line you need to walk here. There is nothing wrong with doing SOME defoliation of fan leaves that are blocking bud sites if you can't tuck them or otherwise get them out of the way. But do this slowly and judiciously... Don't go crazy and take all of them off in a day... start with a handful and then wait a day or two for the plant to recover before trimming off any more. This is the BIGGEST problem with defoliating autoflowers... they stress out easily and THAT will reduce their yield... but if you do it slowly and FOR A REASON, there's no harm - and possibly a great benefit! Good luck!
